Training is vital to helping tackle and prevent visual impairment not just today but for the future. Training medical professionals in each region we visit is one of our aims of helping remove avoidable blindness once and for all.
Training can help build the pillars of access to quality eye care worldwide. In the majority of these regions, there is few medical professionals who are trained to help deal with the every growing eye problems facing a particular region.
It is important that training is given to ophthalmologists in these regions, to future ophthalmologists and to an entire eye health team so that they possess the skills and training to help deliver quality eye care to all.
